The road to the National Finals

Every city contest below feeds the national stage. See who is leading right now, when entries close, and what it takes to move up.

Stage 1 · City contest

Enter your city's contest before its deadline. Signed-in viewers cast verified votes and rate you 1–10.

Stage 2 · Judging week

The day after the deadline, the assigned judges blind-score the top 25 entries (plus each judge's Judges' Pick) on 4 rubric criteria.

Stage 3 · City winner

Final score = 50% judges + 50% audience. The top 5 perform live and the highest score wins the city.

Stage 4 · National Finals

City winners are invited to the national stage in front of celebrity judges.

How the score works
  • Final = 50% Judges + 50% Audience, out of 10
  • Judges = average rubric score — Technique 30%, Creativity 25%, Expression / stage presence 25%, Overall impact 20% (each 1–10). With 4+ judges the highest and lowest are dropped.
  • Audience = 40% verified votes + 40% rating + 20% watch-through
  • Votes = ln(1 + votes) ÷ ln(1 + top votes in the contest)
  • Rating = Bayesian average of 1–10 ratings, with 20 prior ratings at the contest's average
  • Watch-through = share of signed-in viewers who watched 75%+ of the video (photos: 5+ seconds)
  • Voting: 1 vote per entry per day (India time), up to 10 votes per contest per day, only while the contest is open
