Online Dance Competition in India
Talentino Live hosts online dance competitions for every style India dances to: Bollywood, hip-hop, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, bhangra, garba, contemporary, popping, locking and pure freestyle. Upload one dance video from your phone and compete with dancers from your city and age band.
You do not need a studio or a stage. A clear floor, steady framing and a performance that shows what you can do are enough to enter. Every dance contest page lists its city, age band, deadline and prize, so you can pick the contest that fits you.

What is the Talentino dance competition?
Each Talentino dance competition is an online contest with a clear deadline. Dancers submit a single performance video — solo or, where the contest allows it, a duo or group with consent from everyone who appears.
During the contest, viewers watch, rate from 1 to 10 and vote for their favourite dancers. Once voting closes, the assigned judges score a shortlist blind on a four-part rubric. Crowd and judge scores are combined equally into one final score out of 10.
This mix means a viral clip alone does not win, and neither does technique without stage presence. Judges want clean technique, original choreography and a performance that holds attention from the first count to the last.
Who can enter
Any dancer who matches the contest's age band, city and gender rules can take part. Signed-in contestants automatically see only contests they qualify for.
Adults verify their mobile number to enter and vote. Dancers under 18 can join junior contests only, after a parent or guardian links their account and gives verified consent.
Contests are run for these age groups: Under 12, 13–17, 18–24, 25–34, 35–49, 50+, and some are open to any age. The age band is shown on every contest card. Each person can submit one entry per contest.
How to enter, step by step
- Create a free account with Google or email and add your age band, gender and city so we can show the contests you qualify for.
- Verify your mobile number with a one-time code. One account per phone keeps voting fair. Under-18s also need a parent or guardian to verify and consent.
- Pick an open dance contest from the list above and read its rules, deadline and prize.
- Record your entry. Film in landscape or vertical as the contest prefers, with your full body in frame including feet throughout. Use good front lighting — a window in front of you, not behind you — so footwork and expressions are visible. Add your music in the recording; avoid heavy filters or effects that hide your movement.
- Upload and accept the terms — you confirm the work is your own real performance, not AI-generated, and that everyone who appears has consented.
- Share your entry link so friends and fans can watch, rate and vote while the contest is open.
- Get your result and feedback after the judges score the shortlist.
How dancers are judged: crowd + judges
Every Talentino entry gets one final score out of 10. Half comes from the judges and half from the audience, so neither popularity alone nor a single judge's taste decides the winner.
Judge score (50%)
- Technique — 30%: for a dancer, this means timing, musicality, control, balance, clean lines and footwork.
- Creativity — 25%: for a dancer, this means original choreography, transitions and how you interpret the music.
- Expression / stage presence — 25%: for a dancer, this means facial expression, energy and stage presence on camera.
- Overall impact — 20%: for a dancer, this means whether the routine leaves viewers wanting to watch again.
Each criterion is marked from 1 to 10. When 4 or more judges score an entry, the highest and lowest marks are dropped to keep results fair. Judges score blind — they do not see vote counts — and judges cannot score anyone they have coached in the past 12 months.
Audience score (50%)
The audience half blends three signals: verified votes (40%), viewers' 1–10 star ratings (40%) and watch-through — the share of viewers who watched most of your entry (20%). Each verified account can vote once per entry per day (India time) and up to 10 times per contest per day. Unusual voting bursts are checked and can be voided.
After a contest closes, the top 25 entries form the shortlist for judges, and the top 5 finalists can perform in a live online finale.
Prizes
Prizes are set for each contest and shown on its contest page before you enter. No dance contest is open at the moment, so check back for the next one.
Tips to win
Choreograph to your strengths
Build the routine around the moves you execute cleanly. Judges score control and timing under Technique — 30% of the judge score.
Hook viewers in the first eight counts
Watch-through is part of the audience score, so open with energy instead of a slow walk into frame.
Clean up transitions
Smooth links between sections often separate good routines from great ones under Creativity.
Perform to the camera
Expression is 25% of the judge rubric. Treat the lens as your audience.
Rehearse the full take
Record several complete run-throughs and submit the best one rather than stitching clips.
Grow votes steadily
Share your entry link throughout the contest; verified voters can support you once per day.
From your city to the national stage
Talentino contests run for individual cities, districts and "Rest of state" regions, as well as all-India. Top performers from city contests can be promoted to zonal rounds across six zones, and zonal winners can move on to the national finals. It means a dancer from a smaller town has the same route to the national stage as one from a metro.
Train before you compete
The Talentino Academy offers contest-prep coaching, skill tracks and one-to-one mentorship with verified coaches. After a contest, the "Improve my score" button on your scorecard suggests training based on where you lost marks.

Frequently asked questions
Which dance styles can I enter?
All styles are welcome — Bollywood, hip-hop, classical forms like Bharatanatyam and Kathak, folk, contemporary and freestyle — unless a specific contest names a style.
Can I enter as a group or duo?
Only where the contest allows it, and everyone who appears must have consented. One account submits the entry.
Is there an entry fee for the dance competition?
Any fee is shown on the contest page before you submit. Check each contest for its current terms.
How is my dance scored?
50% judges, 50% audience. Judges score Technique 30%, Creativity 25%, Expression 25% and Overall impact 20%. The audience half combines verified votes, ratings and watch-through.
Can I use copyrighted music?
You may dance to popular songs, but you must own or have rights to the performance itself. Do not submit someone else's video or AI-generated content.
Do I need professional training to win?
No. Judges score what they see in your video. Many entrants train at home; the Academy also offers coaching if you want structured help.
How many times can people vote for me?
Each verified account can vote once per entry per day (India time), with a cap of 10 votes per contest per day.
What is the city-to-national path?
Top performers from city contests can be promoted to zonal and then national rounds, competing against winners from other cities.
Can kids enter dance contests?
Children can enter junior contests only, with verified parental consent. Junior entries are moderated and kept out of search listings.
